I am a self taught artist who is very eclectic in my styles of art and I have been called “the master of color” and I do love color! I love to play with color to see what type of mood it evokes. To lay down what makes my heart sing in that moment. What color will capture the mood of what I want to say? I never know. When I create it is organic in that I have no pre conceived thought of what’s going to come out, or what materials will help to get me there. It is a wonderful journey that I am on, I’m along for the ride and I am excited about where this destination will lead.
Finding a title for my work can sometimes be very daunting. The title is a special part of the creative process; it reflects the same value and mood that I use to create the piece. Since I am a visual person the words are hard to come by. Sometimes I start with a title, that’s wonderful when that happens. Most of the time I will sit with a finished piece until I see what I the work is saying. I feel people can relate to the name as well as the art itself – it creates an emotional bond between myself the art and the viewer.
I am at my happiest when I am creating; I hope you enjoy my works.
